Not only is it a by-product of the chocolate-making process, but it’s also a superfood that’s rich in naturally occurring Theobromine – a mild stimulant that may energise you but won’t give you the jitters that coffee can.

Follow our simple recipe below to brew hot or iced cacao tea at home. You can rebrew it 2-3 times, and you’ll enjoy 100 delicious chocolate tea cups.

Ingredients + equipment:

– 1 or 2 teaspoons of Cacao Tea
– 250ml of boiling water
– Teapot, infuser or our ball tea infuser

Instructions to make hot tea:
Add 1or 2 teaspoons of cacao tea to a tea pot or infuser.
Add 250ml- 1000ml boiling water, brew for 4 minutes, then pour and enjoy.
Try adding a pinch of cinnamon, touch of vanilla paste, slice of fresh orange, lemon or grated ginger

Instructions to make iced tea:
Follow the instructions above, then cool in the fridge.
Serve over ice with a slice of lemon or orange and teaspoon of honey.You can also experiment.
