OUR STORY

MiGreenKitchen is an independent, female-founded business on a mission to shake up the health food scene with nutrient-packed microgreen products.

Founded in 2021 by best friends Erin and Pip, their shared passion for holistic health and sustainability led them to address a common challenge: balancing healthy living with the demands of everyday life.

Their unexpected journey into microgreens began when a family friend introduced them to these vibrant greens. Thrilled by the remarkable nutritional benefits and delicious versatility of microgreens, their passion was ignited.

The story behind MiGreenKitchen:

After setting up their first greenhouse in a university house share, they began experimenting with growing techniques and varieties of microgreens.

They chose nutritious broccoli microgreens for their first product, starting the long product development process. They focused on processing and packaging techniques to keep the product as nutrient-dense as possible.

In their final year of studies, they received an Enterprise Scholarship Award through the University of Leeds. This allowed them to develop their business knowledge and connect with industry experts, enabling MiGreenKitchen to continue investing in quality microgreens and ingredients.

In winter 2024, they received the keys to their first business space – a small growing room. This equipped them to grow microgreens in a food-safe environment, ensuring efficient growing conditions and high-quality production.

After years of research, product development, and hard work, they're pleased to announce the launch of their first microgreen-based product!
