Our Story
Atrangi was founded by Chavi and Keith, a couple who left behind busy corporate careers to follow their passion for authentic Indian food. Their journey began with a family recipe — Keith's father's Mango Masala Chutney, a recipe passed down through three generations and rooted in the flavours of Pondicherry, India.
Growing up with a deep connection to Indian food culture, Chavi and Keith wanted to share the vibrant, diverse flavours they knew from home cooking rather than the limited versions of Indian cuisine often found outside India.
From that original family chutney recipe, Atrangi has grown into a range of bold Indian chutneys, marinades, curry sauces and cooking pastes designed to bring authentic Indian flavours into modern kitchens. The brand celebrates India's incredible diversity of ingredients, spices and regional cooking traditions while making it simple for everyone to enjoy.
Meet The Team
After years working in corporate roles, Chavi and Keith decided to follow their passion and build a food brand based around the flavours, recipes and traditions they grew up with. Their mission is to showcase the true diversity of Indian cuisine and create products that reflect the food enjoyed in Indian homes.
Chavi and Keith remain at the heart of Atrangi, developing recipes that combine generations of family knowledge with a modern approach to cooking.
How It's Made
Atrangi's products are inspired by traditional Indian recipes and made using carefully selected ingredients and authentic spice combinations. Each recipe is created to deliver layers of flavour, balancing heat, sweetness, acidity and aromatic spices.
The original Mango Masala Chutney began with a treasured family recipe passed down through generations, and that same approach to flavour remains central to the Atrangi range today.
From marinades and curry sauces to chutneys and cooking pastes, each product is designed to be versatile — whether used as a cooking ingredient, dipping sauce, accompaniment or flavour enhancer.
Sustainability
Atrangi believes in creating food with carefully considered ingredients and a focus on quality rather than unnecessary additives. The range is made without artificial preservatives, artificial colours or unnecessary ingredients.
The brand's approach is centred around honest food, traditional recipes and creating versatile products that help people cook more from scratch at home.
