Our Story
Jiddler's Tipple was founded by Jacob Liddle, better known to friends as "The Jiddler". A keen homebrewer with a love of great beer, Jacob spent years experimenting with recipes in his North London kitchen, determined to create beers that delivered maximum flavour without high alcohol levels.
While many craft breweries were producing increasingly strong beers, Jacob believed there was room for something different. His vision was to brew genuinely sessionable beers that people could enjoy over an evening with friends without sacrificing taste, aroma or character. After countless hours refining recipes and testing ingredients, Jiddler's Tipple officially launched in 2019 with its first pale ale.
The brewery quickly developed its own unmistakable identity. Inspired by Jacob's ever-growing collection of colourful vintage shirts, every can features bold, eye-catching designs that reflect the fun, sociable personality behind the brand. The distinctive artwork has become almost as recognisable as the beers themselves.
Since its launch, Jiddler's Tipple has expanded into an award-winning range of session IPAs, pale ales, lagers and seasonal brews, earning recognition from some of the UK's most respected beer competitions. Despite its growth, the brewery remains focused on Jacob's original philosophy: brewing approachable, flavour-packed beers that bring people together and prove that lower ABV never has to mean lower quality.

Jacob Liddle is the founder, brewer and creative force behind Jiddler's Tipple. Known affectionately as "The Jiddler", Jacob combines a passion for brewing with a fun, approachable outlook that runs through every aspect of the business.
Before launching the brewery, Jacob spent years developing his brewing skills as a homebrewer, constantly refining recipes in pursuit of the perfect session beer. His determination to challenge perceptions of lower alcohol craft beer became the driving force behind Jiddler's Tipple.
Away from brewing, Jacob is well known for his colourful collection of vintage shirts, which inspired the distinctive artwork found on every can. His personality, creativity and belief that great beer should be enjoyed by everyone have helped shape one of London's most recognisable independent craft beer brands.

Founder Jacob Liddle works closely with experienced brewing partners to refine each beer before production, ensuring consistency without compromising the independent spirit of the brand. The brewery also incorporates environmentally conscious practices wherever possible, including recyclable packaging, carbon-positive brewing initiatives and repurposing spent grain as animal feed.
Sustainability
Jiddler's Tipple places sustainability at the heart of its brewing philosophy. The brewery offsets more carbon than it produces, making its beers carbon positive.
Beer is packaged using recyclable materials, around 40% of brewing energy comes from solar power, and spent grain is repurposed as cattle feed rather than being wasted. These practical initiatives help reduce the environmental impact of every brew.
