Our Story
Divine Teas began with founder Shahida Aslam's determination to find a natural alternative after years of suffering from seasonal colds and flu. Tired of relying on repeated courses of antibiotics every autumn, she started exploring the traditional health benefits of turmeric and herbal teas in the hope of supporting her wellbeing naturally.
When the turmeric tea she relied upon was discontinued, Shahida decided to create her own blend. She spent months experimenting with organic turmeric, ginger, fennel, cinnamon, cardamom, liquorice and black pepper, carefully refining the recipe until she achieved the balance of flavour and warmth she had been searching for.
What started as a personal wellness ritual soon became something friends and family regularly requested whenever they were feeling under the weather. Encouraged by their feedback, Shahida launched Divine Teas in 2022, turning a personal remedy into a small business dedicated to natural wellbeing.
Since launching, Divine Teas has continued to grow while staying true to its original purpose. The brand's organic turmeric tea earned a prestigious Great Taste Award in 2025, and Divine Teas has been featured in national publications including Tatler and appeared on Kirstie's Handmade Christmas, helping introduce its handcrafted blends to an even wider audience.

Divine Teas was founded by Shahida Aslam, whose own experience inspired every aspect of the business. Rather than accepting recurring illness as inevitable, Shahida became passionate about discovering natural ways to support everyday wellbeing through carefully selected ingredients.
Working from Birmingham, she personally developed the original turmeric tea blend through months of testing and refinement before sharing it with family and friends. Today she continues to oversee Divine Teas, combining traditional knowledge with carefully sourced organic ingredients to create teas that are both comforting and full of flavour.
